HISTORY
In 1971, Jerry Gray PE, PS, an instructor in the surveying program at Ferris State University saw the need for an engineering and survey company in the Big Rapids area.

He left his teaching position at FSU to start the engineering company that would service municipalities, private developers and private citizens in the Central Michigan area.

Since 1971, MMES has been involved in a wide range and variety of engineering surveying projects. These projects include preparing plans for commercial site development, infrastructure design, water level control structures, dams, modular home parks, subdivisions, campgrounds, municipal and county roads, and waste water systems.

Featuring a large clubhouse site development, condominiums, single family housing, a Type I community well and water system, street and storm water design.
In 2004, Mid-Michigan Engineering donated surveying services for mapping a new location of the Continental Divide Trail in Colorado.
